A Creche Albert Sabin / Superintendência Estadual do Ministério da Saúde no Rio de Janeiro – SEMS-RJ, órgão do Governo Federal, instituída pela modalidade direta do auxílio pré-escolar conforme decreto 977/93 atende atualmente 140 crianças na faixa etária de 4 meses a 5 anos e 11 meses. O Serviço de Nutrição fornece 4 refeições sendo: colação, almoço, lanche e jantar e realiza atividades de oficinas sobre alimentos, junto a Pedagogia, para estimulação à formação de hábitos alimentares saudáveis. A composição das refeições e das oficinas quanto à necessidade de gêneros alimentícios se baseia nas necessidades recomendadas de nutrientes e alimentos conforme a faixa etária determinada pela FAO/OMS.
